Gianluca Gaetano, the match-winner of Cagliari-Roma, spoke to Dazn immediately after being named MVP of the match. He was joined by his friend, teammate, and captain Alessandro Deiola, who put in yet another masterful performance. <\/p>\n\n

Gianluca Gaetano: “I was so eager, I was very energetic from the moment I came on, and I’m happy to have scored and secured the win. I gave it my all, along with my teammates; today we played one of our best games ever. A deserved victory. I dedicate this goal to my wife, my children, and myself: it’s been a long time since I’ve scored, I was coming off an injury that slowed me down, and this joy was really needed.”<\/p>\n\n

Alessandro Deiola: “The fans are our twelfth man in every match, and it showed today. We all deserve this victory, and we’re happy to have brought this joy to ourselves and to the entire team. We hope it’s the first of many; we’re working hard, with dedication, and we deserved this satisfaction for everything we’ve been doing since July, which at times we’ve missed by a hair’s breadth even in recent games.” Deiola is in the running to win the Puskas Award, for the best goal of the year in the world: “Voting is now closed, and we hope to share this joy with all of Sardinia.
