Cagliari Calcio is pleased to announce the contract renewal of Adam Obert, who will remain with the rossobl\u00f9 until June 30, 2030.<\/p>\n\n

Born in Bratislava in 2002 to a family of athletes, Obert arrived in Italy at just 16 years old, playing for Sampdoria’s youth team. From there, he joined Cagliari’s youth academy, a country that has now become his second home. <\/p>\n\n

He made his debut for the Rossoblu Primavera in August 2021, but quickly joined the first team, where he made his debut at the age of 19, on October 24, away to Florence. The following season, he contributed to the team’s prompt return to the top flight: he made 33 appearances with two assists, also playing in the playoffs, and starting in the decisive and triumphant final in Bari. <\/p>\n\n

He confirmed his quality in Serie A: he gained increasing experience and confidence in his abilities, and after a stint in the national youth teams, he became a permanent member of the Slovakia senior national team, with whom he has already made 17 appearances, including participation in the recent European Championships. With the Rossoblu, he secured two relegation matches, increasingly playing a leading role: on January 19, 2025, at Unipol Domus, in the 4-1 win over Lecce, he also scored his first professional goal. <\/p>\n\n

Left-footed, employed in various roles \u2013 central defender, full-back in a back four, and, when necessary, even as a fifth midfielder \u2013 thanks to his technical ability and running ability, Obert is also particularly useful in the build-up and attacking phase, adept at restarting the play immediately, creating numerical superiority, and crossing.<\/p>\n\n

This season, Mister Pisacane has given him further confidence: he has played 26 of 28 league games so far, adding three assists.<\/p>\n\n

A total of 114 games for the Rossobl\u00f9, a future to be written together.<\/p>\n\n
