ALL TOGETHER<\/strong>This defeat hurts; today we missed a good opportunity. I still want to congratulate Pisa, they played a great game. They showed so much heart and soul, it seemed like they had the numerical advantage. They taught us a lesson; we’ll have to take them as an example. We threw away another match point, but our strength is resilience: in difficult moments, we took a beating, but we remained firm, united, and even more united to get out of difficult situations. And that’s what we’ll do; we’ll get through this again. Today, we’ll examine our consciences, and from tomorrow, we’ll focus on the next match: even against Napoli, we can get points.”<\/p>\n\n
TURN THE PAGE<\/strong>“We’ve had a lot of injuries this year, but they’ve never been excuses; the coach has always made that clear. Today, we had the wrong approach: we’re usually much more enterprising and eager. Instead, a bit of fear was immediately evident; we were very static. The sending-off gave us a bit of energy, but we moved the ball around too slowly, almost never attempting one-on-ones. We weren’t breaking through centrally; we should have opened up the game more. Instead, we fell into Pisa’s trap, as they closed up and counterattacked. We’re correcting our mistakes, but now it’s over: let’s work even harder, and turn the page immediately.”<\/p>\n\n
THE RIGHT SPIRIT<\/strong>“In Serie A, you can’t let your focus drop; teams can be on you in a flash. We’ve been wanting to secure survival for a month, but we’re making mistakes. We put in a great performance against Como last round, even if it didn’t bring any points. Today, we weren’t able to do anything positive; it was a setback that should serve as a lesson: just look at how Pisa played, their hunger and determination. We need to analyze the game and get back on track immediately, with our usual spirit: another match awaits us on Friday. We know our worth: we’re a close-knit group, with many talented young players. THE GOAL AGAINST PISA<\/strong>“I’m alive, I’ve been missing this goal. For a Livorno native like me, watching the Livorno-Pisa derby in Serie C at the stadium\u2014two hotly contested clubs with a healthy rivalry\u2014scoring against Pisa was a childhood dream. With that “L,” I wanted to dedicate it to Livorno. It was a nice goal, but it’s worth nothing: there’s little to celebrate; I had dreamed of it with a different specific weight.
