Presentation press conference for Alessandro Romano, midfielder born in 2006 who has just arrived in the rossobl\u00f9. Arriving from Rome, he met the media in the press room of the CRAI Sport Center before the afternoon training. <\/p>\n\n

THE FIRST SENSATIONS AND THE CHOICE OF CAGLIARI<\/strong>“It didn’t take me long to accept Cagliari, because I know that it is a club that works well with young people and believes in their growth. For me it was an important step. It hurts to think back to the relegation with Spezia, but it was still an experience that made me grow a lot. Today I am a Cagliari player and I want to give my best for the staff, my teammates and for the fans, who care so much about this team.”<\/p>\n\n

THE RELATIONSHIP WITH PISACANE AND FIRST CONTACTS<\/strong>“The first contact with the coach dates back to a couple of years ago, when we met in Primavera 1. Then, in July, we spoke again, and he explained Cagliari’s project to me. It was important to understand his ideas and what he wanted to achieve. I thank him, along with the president, the sporting director, and Roberto Muzzi, for the opportunity he gave me.”<\/p>\n\n

THE SETTING AND THE GROUP<\/strong>“I immediately got on very well. The team welcomed me in the best way and I already feel like one of them. It’s a fantastic group, very young, with a great desire to work. For me it’s important to be part of a locker room with many kids my age, because there is great energy, but at the same time there are also more experienced players who are giving us a hand and helping us every day. I already knew Trepy, even if we never played together. We faced each other in the Primavera 1 championship and between us there is a beautiful friendship. Finding him here certainly made my integration into the group easier.”<\/p>\n\n

THE POSITION ON THE FIELD<\/strong>“I usually play as a central midfielder, but during my career I have also played the role of midfielder and midfielder. I am completely at the coach’s disposal and I am ready to do whatever he asks of me. The important thing is to help the team. I have already understood what the coach wants and I am trying to put his requests into practice. My goal is to always give my best and help the team in every way possible. I try to be ready in any situation. The experience at Spezia has made me grow a lot. Sincerely I didn’t expect to receive all that trust and playing time, but from day one I gave it my all and I’m very grateful to the club for what it allowed me to experience. My career at Roma was also very important for my growth and debuting with that shirt was a special emotion.”<\/p>\n\n

HIS FATHER AS A REFERENCE<\/strong>“My father (Umberto, already a professional footballer, ed.) is a great example for me and my brother. We have a very strong relationship and it is always important to have a person who can help you, especially in the most difficult moments. For me he represents a fundamental point of reference. My role model is Granit Gaetano, I don’t feel any particular pressure, but I feel the responsibility that wearing the Cagliari shirt entails.
