These are his words: <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>IN MEMORY OF THE LEGEND<\/strong><br\/>&#8220;Saturday won&#8217;t be just a friendly, it will be an important match, with great symbolic value: we will take to the field to remember Gigi, we will try to honor him in the best possible way. At the same time, it will be a test of preparation for the championship: we will have to have the same approach as an official match. It will be wonderful to be able to embrace our fans again in our stadium, we can&#8217;t wait to take the field. We want to do well. Riva&#8217;s values \u200b\u200bare indisputable: everyone who comes to Cagliari knows how important he was to this land and this club. And how much he still is today. It&#8217;s something we try to convey: Gigi is always close to us.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HONOR AND RESPONSIBILITY<\/strong><br\/>&#8220;For me, Saturday evening will be a special, very beautiful feeling: I will wear the armband, I am proud to have become the captain of Cagliari. This year it will be the first time at the Unipol Domus and it will coincide with the Trophy dedicated to Riva: it will be an emotion that I will carry with me forever. There is a good group, great harmony, we are building our identity: the new ones who have arrived are all guys who have great talent and a great sense of work. They were immediately included in the group, they are becoming applying a lot and they will be able to give us a great helping hand this year will be to repeat ourselves after what we did last season, to continue on that path&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>THE TEAM AT THE CENTER OF EVERYTHING<\/strong><br\/>&#8220;The coach is using me as a central defender, a position I&#8217;ve played in the past: under Coach Ranieri and even last season in some matches. I&#8217;m putting myself at the disposal of the coach and my teammates to try to help Cagliari reach their goals. A personal goal? To help all my teammates reach their best level: being close to them, supporting them, always keeping the group together.
