We are pleased to have won again this year. We honored his memory and, at the same time, once again prepared our new season, showing some concepts, even making some mistakes, but recording ourselves better in the second half. We went on growing, keeping the three departments short and doing well in the rebound: these are all things we have been working on for a year and that even the new players have already absorbed.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>THE PERFORMANCE<\/strong><br\/>&#8220;We showed we have two sides, both in possession and out of possession. We could have won it in the 90 minutes if we had been more accurate in our shooting and finishing in the final third. I liked the way we were chameleonic, changing on the fly and improving throughout the match, even against a Nice team that sometimes closed us down.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>THE DEFENSIVE PHASE<\/strong><br\/>&#8220;I wouldn&#8217;t say our defense didn&#8217;t work in Germany; on the contrary: until the 65th minute, before the many substitutions, we conceded very little. I&#8217;ve always seen great dedication and focus in all the summer tests. This year, we&#8217;ve chosen to raise the bar even in the friendlies, and we&#8217;re working to be ready for next week&#8217;s Coppa Italia. At this stage of the season, some blackouts can happen, but these are situations we need to work on and focus on to avoid.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>THE NEW PLAYERS<br\/><\/strong>&#8220;Anyone who arrives in Cagliari must first learn the values \u200b\u200band what this jersey represents. This is a strong group, and it&#8217;s proven that in recent weeks. Three strong new players have arrived to reinforce certain positions, and the club is working to further complete the squad and get us ready for our first competitive matches. We&#8217;re working to build a complete team, and the club has provided me with three more players to help me put it together as best as possible. Maldini has quality and just needs to make the final decision: perhaps he, like others in the past, will find the right fit at Cagliari to establish himself.
