His comments: <br\/><br\/><strong>A HUMBLE, UNITED GROUP<\/strong><br\/>\u201cThe same start as that magical 1969\/70 season? I wouldn\u2019t compare us to the heroes of that Scudetto-winning team. We have certainly made a good start to the season, there is a great sense of unity just like in that legendary side, but obviously we are missing a \u2018Gigi Riva\u2019. We are happy with what we have achieved so far: it will be good to work during this long three-week break while sitting near the top of the table.\u201d <br\/><strong><br\/>THE QUALITIES OF HEAD COACH PISACANE<\/strong><br\/>\u201cI have been fortunate enough to know Fabio for many years. I first got to know him as a footballer and, before anything else, I appreciate his qualities as a person. He is a decent person, and that is the most important thing, especially in the world of football. He is perceptive, astute and always eager to learn. He has built his career step by step over the years, first with the Primavera, where he won the Coppa Italia at that level, and then with the first team. Frankly, with him I expected that, sooner or later, there could be a breakthrough. We have now entered a new phase, and we will have to be good at managing the situation. We are a united, humble group. I hope we can continue to make our fans dream for a long time or, at the very least, remain in a league position that, as we have always said this season, we would like to be better than last year\u2019s&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DANIEL MALDINI\u2019S TALENT<\/strong><br\/>\u201cWe had been following him for several years already. We had a strong collaboration with Olbia and tried to bring him to the club on loan in Lega Pro, before he began his Serie A journey. He has incredible talent, perhaps he has not yet managed to express himself at his best. Our challenge will be to help him take that extra step that he has not yet managed to make. This summer, we found ourselves in a somewhat difficult situation with one of our players, who felt that he was not earning enough to play for Cagliari. I would say we replaced him extremely well with Daniel. As for the off-the-pitch incident involving him, our position remains that of a parent: when you go out for a drink, it is always better not to drive, but to get a lift or take a taxi. That applies to everyone.\u201d<br\/><br\/><strong>ROMANO AND THE NATIONAL TEAM<\/strong><br\/>\u201cMaldini and Romano are two of our young players in whom we have great belief. Alessandro is even younger, born in 2006, and is an all-round midfielder who can play in any position in midfield. He is a very dynamic player. He is a young man who knows what he wants and has a clear idea of where he wants to go. I believe he can go a long way. I am happy that our national team coach gave him the opportunity to play for Italy and that he chose to accept it.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAPRILE\u2019S STRENGTH<\/strong><br\/>\u201cThere was a lot of interest in Caprile this summer, but Elia was determined to stay at Cagliari. He felt that we could do something important this season. So far, the facts have proved him right, and I am delighted for him and for us. I believe that, after Donnarumma, he and Carnesecchi are currently the strongest goalkeepers in Italy. That said, it is understandable that in the national team, when you have an undisputed first-choice goalkeeper like Donnarumma, there can also be other considerations.
