Respect for the quality of the Bianconeri, but also confidence in his team’s identity and a determination to rediscover the enthusiasm, intensity and connection shown before the international break. “We must bring our DNA onto the pitch and earn the fans’ affection through hard work and sacrifice.”

PREPARATION
“In 2026, no game prepares itself. This one needs no introduction, but we won’t be overawed: we know what we have done to collect 12 points, and now a new championship begins. I want to rediscover the compactness we showed at the start. In terms of motivation, it’s understandable that facing Juventus can feel special, but once you step onto the pitch, everyone must be ready to follow the game plan, both from the outset and as the match unfolds.”

JUVENTUS
“I expect a team that wants to play football and has an enormous amount of quality. I expect them to come to Cagliari looking to take all three points, so we must make life difficult for them. They have players who are excellent both centrally and out wide, and they can switch from a 3-4-3 to a 4-2-3-1 depending on the movements of certain players, such as Conceição. In these first five games, they have shown a very clear identity, and we will have to be ready.”

JUVENTUS’ WEAKNESSES
“The only Juventus game I haven’t watched is the one against Sassuolo. They have plenty of potential out wide, but against teams like this, it’s difficult to find even the smallest flaw. We have to identify those weaknesses and try to exploit them. We have enormous respect for them, but we’re playing at home and the stadium will be full: we must earn the fans’ affection through hard work and sacrifice.”

THE DEFENSIVE RECORD
“I like having the best defence, but I also look at the shots we’ve faced. When we talk about statistics, we need to look at them in greater depth: of the 102 shots we’ve faced, only 20 have been on target, an average of four per game. Statistics need to be analysed carefully to interpret them correctly. Ultimately, what makes the difference is hunger, dedication and the final result, which, as always, shapes everyone’s judgement.”

LAST SEASON’S MEETING
“Our objectives? Nothing has changed: they are fighting for the Scudetto, while we are fighting to stay up. We’ve let some players leave and replaced them with young ones. The two clubs have different budgets and different objectives, but I won’t allow my team to show any less hunger in tomorrow’s game.”

THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK AND THE FANS’ ENTHUSIASM
“The break allowed us to recover our energy and give some rest to those who had put in a lot of work. Tomorrow, we’ll see whether my words are matched by what the team produces on the pitch. I expect commitment, sacrifice and the mentality we had at the start. The break has been long, and I expect us to rediscover our enthusiasm, intensity and connection. “The videos on social media? I’ve seen them, and they made me happy and brought a smile to my face. There’s a lot of passion, and you can see it in those videos too. But I want to reiterate that we’re fully aware we haven’t achieved anything yet. The fans can’t wait to experience something different, and we hope we can build something special over time.”

INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS
“Romano? A coach like Mancini doesn’t need to hear from me to know what to do with Romano. In the second half against Inter, he already played in the position he occupied with the national team. We all think about the right outfit for every occasion: I see Romano as a box-to-box midfielder, but with a different game plan he can also play centrally in midfield. Nzola? He’s been on a journey that has required a great deal of determination. He scored his first goal in Madrid, and I hope many more will follow. He’s available and can start from the first minute, come on during the game or not play at all, just like everyone else.”

CAGLIARI AND THE PREDICTION
“I don’t want to sound presumptuous: Cagliari have prepared for this game just as they have for the others. We face a high-calibre opponent with different objectives. We must bring our DNA onto the pitch, and I hope we can match what the fans will bring to the stands.”

UNAVAILABLE PLAYERS
“Deiola has made a very quick recovery, and the break helped him. Every player has a different pain threshold; he always says he feels fine, but we’re still assessing him. He’ll be involved, as will Kevin Carlos, who has been training partially with the group. Everyone else is available, apart from Felici, Idrissi and Trepy.”

[278,276,274
post-27690","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","news_cat-new-in","news_cat-latest-news","news_cat-first-team

<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.7 -
