Ahead of the team\u2019s debut in the Eccellenza championship\u2014scheduled for Sunday in La Maddalena\u2014the club outlined the path forward for both the first team and the women\u2019s youth division, based on a shared vision aimed at consolidating their operations, developing young athletes, and strengthening ties with the local community. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.figc-sardegna.it\/download\/calendario-eccellenza-femminile-2026-2027\/\">ECCELLENZA CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE | CLICK HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This decision stems from the ownership\u2019s vision and involves every area of \u200b\u200bthe Club in a cohesive manner, with the goal of building a structured path both on and off the pitch. The return of the First Team complements the ongoing daily work with young girls and youth-level squads, ensuring the continued development of the Club\u2019s women\u2019s football program. The project integrates both 11-a-side football and futsal, leveraging the expertise gained within the Club\u2019s youth academy. From the Under-10 to the Under-15 level, young players will develop technical, tactical, and decision-making skills through a shared training curriculum, with the option to subsequently pursue either 11-a-side football or futsal. It is a model that highlights the unique characteristics of both disciplines while placing the growth of each athlete at the core.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An organization that aims to foster dialogue between different age groups and build a development pathway capable of supporting girls from their initial experiences all the way to the senior teams.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAGLIARI IS SPECIAL<\/strong><br\/>&#8220;I wish all the girls the very best of luck. Wearing the Cagliari jersey means representing a rich history and a strong sense of belonging\u2014it requires responsibility, courage, and the desire to always give one\u2019s absolute best. We are starting fresh with the first team, guided by a clear vision: to build a sustainable structure over time, beginning from the grassroots level and creating opportunities for our Under-17 players. We want to forge a solid path that will allow the *Rossobl\u00f9* women\u2019s program to grow, season after season.&#8221; <strong>Max Canzi&#8217;s words<\/strong>, upon his return to the Club in a new capacity, following his previous experience as a youth coach and his recent work at the highest levels of women\u2019s football. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>READY FOR THE DEBUT IN THE ECCELLENZA LEAGUE<\/strong><br\/><strong>Marco Nieddu, coach of the first team, says<\/strong>: &#8220;I would like to thank those who placed their trust in me\u2014the management, the coaching staff working alongside me, and the entire organization. Above all, I want to thank the players themselves; from day one, they have been a source of great satisfaction, and a wonderful chemistry has developed within the group. We can\u2019t wait to get started. Working for Cagliari is something special for everyone\u2014and even more so for us Sardinians.
