Rossoblu coach Fabio Pisacane met with the media after the match against Bologna. Here’s what he said:

THE MATCH ANALYSIS

“Looking at the numbers, I think Cagliari dominated the game and Bologna were more cautious. We didn’t attack the depth enough and ran too horizontally. In the second half, we had a different idea, but we didn’t succeed, with the incident that went in their favor. The game was decided on a corner, after they had scored three in a matter of seconds: a misplaced move led to the goal that ultimately changed the game.”

WINKS’ EXIT

“Winks felt some back pain, and we’ll evaluate it tomorrow. I can say right now that his exit made us lose our dribbling skills. In the first half, we could have gone more directly on the attack, but instead we dribbling too much.”

TEAM SPIRIT

“Let’s keep working, take the positives from today, and fuel our growth with rationality. The team tried to play the game we had prepared. Today, the team gave everything they had on the pitch, and the hunger that was missing in Monza was evident right to the end. You must never disband when you’re behind; that’s also important, something that was missing in Monza.”

BALANCE IN JUDGMENTS

“I think balance is crucial. We weren’t great before, nor are we lame now. Even if there was just one positive thing today, we need to work on that and restart with clarity, rationality, and an awareness of our size and our goals. No flights of fancy. We scored a lot early on and now we’re paying for it, but we mustn’t lose sight of our overall size.”

MENDY’S GROWTH

“He needs to grow, he has great potential. When you have a striker this young, you have to take everything he can give you, knowing he’s still developing.”

MASSOLIN’S CONTRIBUTION

“Massolin put in a lot of effort when not in possession. I liked his spirit and personality. We can count on him. But let’s not forget that he’s only playing his second game in Serie A and needs to mature, like the rest of us.”

THE FANS’ REACTION AND SUPPORT

I can assure you that the team is tired and disappointed, but they are determined to bounce back. I haven’t played much in Serie A, but I know this environment well, I know how tough it is and how much you need to be on top of things every day. The fans never abandon us, and they were there for us again today. We’re nurturing this spirit, seeking enthusiasm, but without over-the-top ambition and being good at taking defeats, because we grow from them.

START AGAIN WITH AWARENESS

“We’re starting again with positivity and awareness of our championship. But we’re taking it one game at a time, clear on the situation and our path, aware of what we deserved in the first few games and perhaps didn’t get today.”

[278,276,274
post-28164","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","news_cat-new-in","news_cat-latest-news","news_cat-first-team
