“Un calcio alle frodi” with Poste Italiane and Polizia di Stato
“Un calcio alle frodi” Project Presented at Unipol Domus. The project, born from the collaboration between the State Police, through the Postal and Cybersecurity Police, Poste Italiane S.p.A., and Cagliari Calcio (with the support of Sosor), aims to raise awareness among citizens about cybercrimes. It explains the current and most common types of online scams and frauds and the methods used by cybercriminals.
On the occasion of Cagliari-Bologna, fans received a guide that teaches how to tackle and dodge fraudulent phenomena: a useful companion to get to know the adversary/cybercriminal and understand their attack techniques. The document, available in all post offices in Cagliari and the province, can also be downloaded digitally.
The campaign pays homage to the figure of Gigi Riva: just as Thunderbolt with his infallible left foot scored goals in football fields, readers of “Un calcio alle frodi” will have an additional tool to score a decisive goal against cybercrime.
Present at Unipol Domus were the Prefect of Cagliari, Dr. Giuseppe Castaldo; the Commissioner of Cagliari, Dr. Rosanna Lavezzaro; the Public Prosecutor of Cagliari, Dr. Rodolfo Maria Sabelli; the Director of the Cagliari Province Postal Branch, Dr. Daniele Evangelisti; the Fraud Management Security Intelligence M.A.C. Head, Dr. Valerio Coppotelli; the First Officer of the COSC Sardegna – State Police, Dr. Francesco Greco; the Fraud Management Security Intelligence Head for Sardinia, Dr. Gabriele Orrù; and the Chief Commissioner of the State Police and Director of II Sector COSC CA, Dr. Federica Orecchioni.
Hosting the event was President Tommaso Giulini, who presented Dr. Lavezzaro and Dr. Coppotelli with a Cagliari Calcio jersey. These were his words: “Being the first sports club to support a project of this kind is a source of pride and a necessary assumption of responsibility. Cagliari Calcio wants to do its part alongside the other stakeholders in a campaign to raise awareness and combat issues that affect all citizens’ lives.”
