The Rossoblù Primavera team was defeated in their match in Vinovo against Juventus. 1-0, with Lopez scoring the decisive goal just one minute before the end. A cruel result for Pisacane’s team, who played a strong game, on par with the Bianconeri, and perhaps only lacked the ability to capitalize on the chances they created.
CAGLIARI IMMEDIATELY DANGEROUS
A chance for Cagliari in the 5th minute, a great long-range shot by Mutandwa, the goalkeeper somehow manages to save it, only for the ball to rebound to Trepy. Shortly after, Di Biase shoots wide from a good position. In the 10th minute, Florea creates danger with a shot that narrowly misses Iliev’s left post.
To break a quiet phase of play, a scare for Juventus in the 22nd minute as Biliboc’s free kick takes an almost lethal trajectory, but Iliev arches back and deflects the ball onto the upper part of the crossbar. Cagliari responds in the 26th minute with a powerful shot from Trepy saved by Radu, with Mutandwa rushing in but the Juventus keeper is quick to block. Mutandwa tries again from outside the box shortly after, but his low shot goes wide. Cagliari comes close to scoring again in the 34th minute: a corner from the right, Marini heads it down for Vinciguerra, who takes a volley shot that is blocked by Radu with his body during his exit.
CHANCE FOR VINCIGUERRA
The big chance falls to Vinciguerra again, in the 1st minute of the 3 minutes of added time granted by the referee. The Rossoblù striker steals the ball from Pagnucco and breaks free towards the Juventus goal, but the Juventus defender does well to recover and deflect the shot out for a corner.
NUNN ON FOR BALDE
Cagliari returns to the pitch after the break with a change: Nunn replaces the booked Balde. Juventus has a chance with Mazur, but Radu saves, and Biliboc arrives to fire over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Grandu comes on for Trepy.
In the 64th minute, Cagliari pushes forward: a great run by Grandu, who lays the ball back for Nunn’s shot, which goes over the bar. Bolzan replaces Vinciguerra in the 68th minute. Juventus raises the tempo, while Cagliari responds, matching them blow for blow.
At the 73rd minute, Finocchiaro surged forward and passed to Lopez, whose weak shot was dealt with by Iliev with some difficulty. At the 77th minute, Mutandwa eluded his marker and delivered an excellent ball to the center for Bolzan, who failed to control it. Simonetta’s shot then went wide of the posts.
SUBSTITUTIONS AND THE BAD FINAL
Malfitano and Franke come on for Marcolini and Marini. In the 81st minute, Simonetta’s free kick grazes the post, with Radu diving full stretch. At the other end, Iliev has to stretch out to deflect a dangerous, well-placed shot from Vacca for a corner. Juventus threatens again when, following a corner, Martinez charges in and strikes the crossbar’s upper edge with a volley. In the 87th minute, Mutandwa delivers an intriguing layoff for Bolzan’s run, forcing Radu to rush out of his goal to intercept the rossoblù striker and clear the ball with his feet.
At the 89th minute, the winning goal arrives: a cross from the right by Ventre finds Lopez unmarked in the center of the box. His header slips into the far corner, out of Radu’s reach.
