This is what Fabio Pisacane, coach of the Cagliari Primavera, said after the 0-1 loss at the Crai Sport Center against Hellas Verona. Below are his words right after the match.
“We are all very disappointed, losing is never pleasant and losing this way hurts even more. As I always tell the guys: ‘Two minutes to laugh and two minutes to cry.’ On Wednesday, we’re back on the field, away at Monza, so we’ll work and focus on reacting. Compliments to their striker Vermesan, he scored a great goal, and whenever a goal is scored, there’s always credit to the opponent and a mistake on your part.”
“The match was always balanced with few chances. ‘Did we deserve it on points? It doesn’t matter,’ explains the coach. ‘Evidently, what we did wasn’t enough. Let’s roll up our sleeves and work, focus on reacting. It’s a tough league where everyone has their qualities, and I don’t see any alternative to working hard to react and give ourselves more satisfaction. The defeat affects the morale, but as time passes, it will ease and we’ll think about tomorrow. Playing again quickly definitely helps to cool down and gives us a chance to make up for it. We’ll get some players back, but right now, we shouldn’t be thinking about that, about who was there, who will be there, or who won’t. We need to analyze the game with awareness of what went well and what went wrong, and focus on the challenge against Monza.’”
