Pisacane: “Great result, now focus on Cesena”
Fabio Pisacane, coach of Cagliari’s Primavera team, comments on the victory in a penalty shootout away at Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia semifinals. The Rossoblù triumphed in the shootout after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.
“It’s a great result,” says the coach. “Eliminating last year’s two finalists and the reigning champions of the competition is an achievement that demonstrates the strength and character of the group. It’s a victory that brings prestige to the Club and the Youth Sector, a sign that the work we are doing together is bearing important fruit. Now, it’s right to enjoy the moment,” he concludes, “but as I told the boys at the end of the match, a winning mentality is built by always looking ahead.
