Spring, Pisacane before Fiorentina-Cagliari

Youth Sector - 14 February 2025

The coach of the Rossoblu Primavera, Fabio Pisacane, speaks like this before departing for Florence, where on Saturday at 1 PM there will be the third seasonal match against Daniele Galloppa’s Fiorentina.

“We know very well what to expect,” explains the coach. “Fiorentina is first in the standings, they have impressive numbers and are showing they are a great team. We’ve already faced them twice this year: we won at home and beat them in the Coppa Italia, advancing to the semifinals. It’s normal that they will expect more from us this time, but we also arrive ready and eager to continue on this path. We come from an important win against Cesena, a tough match in which we knew how to suffer and bring home the three points. This is a sign of maturity. We have some absences, because besides Achour, who hasn’t recovered, Soldati and Simonetta will also be missing from the 21 convocations, but Cogoni will be there. For us, these are all important players, but those who will be on the field will have the opportunity to show that the team’s value goes beyond the individuals. In football, as in life, difficulties exist to be overcome. And those with a strong mentality, who know how to turn obstacles into opportunities, will always go farther in the end. This group has already shown character, and tomorrow I expect to see exactly that: a team that steps onto the field with personality, hunger, and the desire to claim the result. We know it will be a battle, but we are ready to fight. Respect for Fiorentina, yes. Fear, never!”
