At the end of the match, the Rossoblù President, Tommaso Giulini, spoke to Dazn. These are his words:

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TEAM
“Today we chased the game, but we got back on track: it was a very tense match. We played a first half of the season where we gave everything we had on the pitch, making our fans proud, fighting for every ball for 90 minutes and beyond. We’re at the halfway point, and I want to congratulate the team. We dropped points at home due to carelessness; I’m thinking of the draw against Genoa, for example, or the one against Pisa. And today we also conceded two goals that give us pause. But beyond that, the important thing is that the team always gives everything, demonstrating dedication to the shirt. I’m very happy about that.”

WORKING WITH YOUNG PLAYERS
I’m delighted that, once again today, we were able to demonstrate the quality of the work we’re doing with our youth academy. It’s an important effort: seeing Trepy score such a beautiful goal on his Serie A debut is truly wonderful, and it’s a testament to the hard work not only of Coach Pisacane, but of our entire youth academy. We finished today with so many young players on the pitch: we’re pleased with the path we’ve taken this year. We’re deservedly in the relegation zone, and we hope to improve quickly so we don’t have to struggle until the end.”

RESTRICTIONS FOR THE SUPPORTERS
I thank our more than 300 fans: they braved the cold, they were extraordinary. It’s a shame, however, because that stand could have been fuller; there weren’t many of our fans there due to restrictions we don’t understand. Playing on a Thursday night certainly isn’t easy, and people don’t really like fragmented football. For us, there are also the difficulties related to travel. But despite this, more fans could have come from the island; perhaps they would have doubled the current capacity. The last time Cagliari played here was in 1996 (it ended 3-1 with a Rossoblu goal by Muzzi): so we really don’t understand the reason for these restrictions. I think the relevant authorities should protect the fans and football more. It’s a shame: we remember empty stadiums well due to Covid, imposing restrictions on a match between Cremonese and Cagliari makes no sense, and I’d like to understand why.

LUPERTO’S MATCH
I congratulate Sebastiano Luperto, a highly experienced player: he played yet another game like a true professional, despite reports from many quarters that he was on the market or even already sold. Not only have we not received any offers from other clubs, but above all, it doesn’t seem to me at all that he wants to leave Cagliari. Tonight, he demonstrated his true professionalism: he’s been through some unusual, complicated situations in recent months. And these transfer rumors in the last week have been truly untrue.
