Dossena to Cagliari

Cagliari Calcio is pleased to announce the acquisition of the right to the sports performance of the player Alberto Dossena who transfers from Como 1907 on a loan basis until the end of the 2025/26 football season.

Born in 1998, raised in the youth of Lumezzane, after playing in Atalanta’s Primavera team, he began his career in the professional ranks: Perugia, Siena, Pistoiese, Alessandria, Avellino before moving to the ranks of Cagliari in the summer of 2022.

In Rossoblù he made his debut on Sept. 2 in the 1-0 win against Modena, playing his first game as a starter on Dec. 26 – again at the Unipol Domus – against Cosenza (2-0), with Fabio Pisacane on the interim bench before the arrival of Claudio Ranieri. Among the protagonists of the ride that led to promotion to Serie A, a key piece of the team that – the following season – won salvation in the top flight. After totaling 64 appearances, with 3 goals and 4 assists, he moved to Como in the summer of 2024, with whom he collected 23 matches.

A physically strong central defender, good basic technique and reading skills, adept in aerial play and duels, Dossena returns to an environment he knows best to put his qualities to use and strengthen the red and blue rearguard.
