A GOAL TO BE FRAMED
A goal is always important for a striker, and if it’s as good as the one I scored today, the satisfaction is even greater. What if it had been disallowed? It certainly would have been a real shame. Thanks to Esposito, it was a beautiful cross. I’m happy with the goal; it was emotional to celebrate under the Curva, with our fans. I’m happy with the three points: we knew how difficult the matches would be, and we’d prepared for them with the utmost attention during the week, giving everything. Everyone was ready to help each other. We managed to carry all that work onto the pitch and secured our third win in a row.

THE GOOD OF THE TEAM
Serie A and the Turkish league? There are many differences, the main one is definitely tactical. Here in Italy, the level is really high, and it took me some time to adapt. There are no easy matches in Serie A; you have to deal with strong defenses. But now I think I’ve gotten used to this level, and I want to keep scoring. How many goals? I’m not aiming for a specific number; I want to score to help the team, get points to secure safety as quickly as possible. That’s my goal. We’re a very close-knit group; every one of my teammates has helped me a lot right from the start. We also see each other off the pitch. One of the teammates I’ve bonded with the most is Esposito; we speak English.

THE AFFECTION OF CAGLIARI
“I’m someone who believes in himself and in his abilities. I’ve trained hard, I’ve grown on the pitch, but I’ve gradually adapted better off it too. It wasn’t easy at first; I didn’t even know exactly what to expect. This is my first experience outside of Turkey. But now I’m starting to adapt: ​​Cagliari and Istanbul are certainly different, but both are beautiful. Cagliari is a city on a human scale; the people are very affectionate and warm, they make you feel at home. I’m enjoying myself here; I’m happy.”
