Another “Junior Reporter” session: budding young reporters had the opportunity to ask Rossoblu coach Fabio Pisacane their questions. On the sidelines of the press conference held on the eve of Cagliari-Lazio (Serie A EniLive) at the Crai Sport Center, the coach met with a representative of students from classes 1B, 1C, and 2A of the Sarroch Comprehensive School and 1F of the “Francesco Ciusa” Institute in Villa San Pietro. The project, created in collaboration with Saras, is renewed annually and offers young people the opportunity to connect with key figures in the Cagliari Calcio sports department.
The Coach was asked numerous questions, covering a wide range of topics: from his childhood dreams to his early days in football, to other interests and aspirations; then, his handling of the different moments of the season, both the positive and the more challenging, any pre-match rituals, Pisacane’s idols as a child, and the intense emotion of coaching in Cagliari, his adopted city.
“In life, a sense of responsibility is important, and I feel it strongly toward this land and these colors. I arrived eleven years ago, and I never thought it would turn out like this: a long, beautiful journey that continues today.” On the change in mentality from player to coach: “When you coach, you have so many people listening to you, for whom and about whom you have to make choices, while as a footballer, you think above all about yourself. You have to study, apply yourself, learn something new every day, and then do your part to achieve a team goal.” And finally, a warning: “It’s the difficult moments that strengthen you, when you mustn’t get discouraged but think positively, because rebirth and redemption can come at any moment,” Fabio Pisacane explained to the children of “Junior Reporter.”
To complement the day, the young journalists will write an article for “Domus Rossoblù,” the official Cagliari Calcio magazine, distributed in digital and print formats in the stadium stands before each match. The best piece will be published in the final issue of the season, on the occasion of Cagliari-Como.
