An important event took place in Oristano, at the federal facility of Sa Rodia, the venue for Club Italia’s first Sardinian regional training camp for the Under-14 category, with the significant presence of the category’s scouting manager, Luigi Milani. This new and strategic initiative is part of a broader program that includes a series of meetings throughout the country with the aim of identifying, monitoring, and mentoring the most promising players in the category.

In this context, Cagliari’s role remains crucial: the Rossoblù club has contributed significantly, representing the majority of the players called up. Alongside the on-field activity, there was also time for discussion with several clubs affiliated with the Cagliari Football Academy, who met in Oristano for a shared update on the work being done in their respective settings. The meeting, led by Youth Sector Manager Oscar Erriu and Academy Manager Mattia Belfiori, provided an important opportunity to discuss methodologies, critical issues, and objectives, with a constant focus on the technical and personal growth of young players at a crucial stage in their careers. The gathering is part of the new federal technical project dedicated to youth football, which aims to create an increasingly coordinated structure among the various federal components. In this context, the Under 14 category takes on a key role, representing the transition between grassroots activity and the path to national selections.

The project, guided by a shared vision and a uniform methodology nationwide, aims to nurture talent through comprehensive work, placing individual technique at the center. The work of Cagliari’s youth sector, a long-time national benchmark, particularly in the pre-competitive stages and the first stage of competitive activity, is once again highlighted. This journey has been built over time and is further confirmed by the results of the Rossoblu Under-14 team, competing in the national championship and enjoying a high-level season.

The Oristano camp therefore represents an important step in a broader project, based on synergy, planning, and a focus on talent, with Cagliari playing an active role in the development of Italian youth football.
