The embrace of the red and blue people
Cagliari among its people, in the island’s countryside: this evening, the Rossoblù received the warm embrace of Pula, a coastal tourist town in the south of the island. The central Piazza del Popolo, packed to capacity—many families and children, waving Rossoblù flags, chanting for their favorites, and greeted with contagious enthusiasm—hosted the presentation of the First Team. On stage, managers, coaching staff, and players were present. The evening event with fans, organized by the Municipality of Pula in collaboration with ViviPula, was presented by Videolina journalist Alberto Masu.
The CEO – General Manager, Stefano Melis, in Pula with the Sports Director Pietro Accardi and Roberto Muzzi of the Scouting Area, was the first to speak, thanking Pula for the hospitality and all those present for the great demonstration of affection: “The fans are fundamental for us and it is wonderful to always start with a huge crowd, it is now a tradition, today we are here in the wonderful Pula. Greeted by a roar, the microphone was passed to Mister Pisacane: “Saturday’s game can’t just be a friendly match. This year they have accelerated the entry of new ones, which is not trivial. On values? I would like to say that even last year I was able to count on an important group. The captain has the task of introducing the new arrivals to the rossoblù team: Alessandro Romano, Harry Winks, Demi Akarakiri, Sebastiano Di Paolo, Jacopo Fazzini and the latest addition, Raphael Kofler. The evening continued with Gabriele Zappa, among the senators of the group, highly applauded by the square, which involved Adam Obert, Zé Pedro, Michel Adopo, Matteo Prati and Rodríguez. The closing ceremony was reserved for institutional greetings: the mayor of Pula, Walter Cabasino, and the deputy mayor and sports councilor, Elisabetta Loi, hosted the event, receiving the commemorative “Pula 2026” match jersey from CEO Stefano Melis.
For rossoblù fans, the next fixture is at the Unipol Domus. Cagliari-Nice will take place on Saturday, August 8th at 8:30 PM: it will be a special occasion, the second edition of the “Gigi Riva” Trophy.
