Kevin Carlos is a Rossoblù

Cagliari Calcio is delighted to announce the signing of Kevin Carlos from Nice. The striker joins the Rossoblù on loan with an option to buy.

Born in Ceuta in 2001, the Spanish forward of Nigerian descent came through the youth academy at Huesca, making his first-team debut for the club in December 2020 in the Copa del Rey. His first professional goal came the following year, also in the national cup competition. In January 2023, he joined Betis on loan, where he was part of the second team, before moving to Switzerland to join Yverdon in the summer of the same year. His experience in Switzerland proved crucial to his development: with 14 goals, he finished as the league’s top scorer in the 2023/24 season, establishing himself as one of the most promising young forwards on the European scene.

In the summer of 2024, he moved to Basel, helping the club win both the league title and the national cup, scoring 14 goals in total. His performances earned him a move to France with Nice, where he scored his first goal on 2 October 2025 in the club’s away Europa League match against Fenerbahçe.

Standing 186 cm tall and naturally right-footed, Carlos is a centre-forward who combines physical strength with the ability to attack space, as well as excellent technique and quality in linking up with his teammates. Strong in the air, his physical build and pace allow him to be effective both in direct duels with defenders and when exploiting space, making him a well-rounded option for the attacking department.
