
The Rossoblù Under-20 side began the new Primavera 1 championship with a victory, beating Albinoleffe 2-0 away from home thanks to a brace from Sugamele, who scored both goals in the first half. After the break, the hosts tried to get back into the game, but found a focused Kehayov standing in their way.
Cagliari started on the front foot and, in the 1st minute, Sugamele tested Generali, but the move was stopped for offside. In the 10th minute, the breakthrough came: Akarakiri played Sugamele through, and the striker was brought down inside the box. The referee pointed to the spot and, a minute later, the Rossoblù forward stepped up to convert the penalty, with Generali getting a touch to the ball but unable to prevent the 1-0.Cagliari continued to push forward and came close to doubling their lead through Cardu and Lo Verde, both dangerous from distance. In the 18th minute, the second goal arrived: Generali parried an effort, Sugamele was quickest to react and fired home from close range to make it 2-0. Albinoleffe protested for a possible offside, but the goal was awarded.The hosts tried to respond and, in the 34th minute, Delcarro got a shot away from the edge of the box, but the Rossoblù defence blocked the attempt. Four minutes before half-time, the Bergamo side created their best chance of the opening 45 minutes: Gamba rounded Kehayov and shot towards goal, but a deflection sent the ball against the post. The teams went into the break with Cagliari leading 2-0.
After the restart, Albinoleffe increased the pressure and looked for a way back into the game. In the 60th minute, Riboni entered the box and got a shot away, but Kehayov made an excellent save and turned the ball behind for a corner. The same forward was again involved in the 72nd and 74th minutes, but on both occasions the Rossoblù goalkeeper remained alert and denied the hosts. Cagliari looked to strike on the counter and came close to a third in the 77th minute: Goryanov received the ball just a few yards from goal and fired towards the net, but Generali made a decisive save to keep the score at 0-2. Albinoleffe continued to search for a goal late on, but could not find a way through. Cagliari managed their advantage until the final whistle and secured their first three points of the season.
