Prati joins Racing Santander

Cagliari Calcio announces the transfer of the registration rights of footballer Matteo Prati to Real Racing Club de Santander on a loan deal until June 30, 2027, with an obligation to buy subject to the achievement of certain sporting conditions.

Having arrived in Sardinia in the summer of 2023, Prati played a key role for the Rossoblù, helping the team secure two consecutive Serie A survivals and scoring a decisive goal in the match against Sassuolo in Reggio Emilia on May 19, 2024. In his second season, he made 14 appearances between the league and Coppa Italia, while he featured 22 times during the 2025/26 season before joining Torino on loan for the second half of the campaign.

The 2003-born midfielder now embarks on a new chapter in his football career, his first abroad, in the context of Spanish football and La Liga.
