POST-MATCH | Nzola after Rayo Vallecano-Cagliari

M’Bala Nzola spoke immediately after the friendly away to Rayo Vallecano, scoring Cagliari’s equaliser before the Rossoblù went on to win the match on penalties

DETERMINED TO HAVE A GREAT SEASON
“I’m very happy to have scored today after so many months without playing,” he began. “Helping the team get a positive result is certainly important. Personally, I feel good, and the break was useful because it allowed me to increase my workload and get into the best possible condition as soon as possible. “I would like to thank the coach and the staff for the trust they are showing in me and for the way they are managing my return. I can’t wait to make my contribution. I’ve joined a very healthy and strong group, with many good players. I already knew some of them, while I’m getting to know many others now. I’m happy to be experiencing life at Cagliari, a club I chose at the end of last summer because I was strongly motivated by the desire to add a high-level and meaningful experience to my football career and to my story in Italy. “I’ll say it again: I want to have a great season, and I want to do it with Cagliari, without a doubt. That was what pushed me to accept the Club’s call.”
