Supporter Liaison Officer

The Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO), manager of public relations, was created in Germany in 1992 as part of the sports safety program.

After Germany, England, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands have also introduced SLOs, albeit with different approaches.

Since 2008, UEFA has been organizing annual meetings with representatives of European supporters to analyze all issues affecting fans, and since the 2012/2013 season, as part of obtaining a UEFA license, clubs have been obliged to appoint an SLO with the aim of ensuring proper-direct-constructive dialogue between clubs and fans.

For information and initiatives, contact Stefano Fenu and Giorgia Argiolas (Supporter Liaison Officers) by writing to slo@cagliaricalcio.com.

Regulation of banners and choreographies

Cagliari Calcio, having taken note of the determination made on 8 March 2007 by the National Observatory on Sporting Events, communicates the compulsory procedure to be followed for requests for authorisation to access and place banners and/or choreographies inside the Unipol Domus for home matches in the 2023-24 season.

The application must be submitted in free form, with a photocopy of an identity document, stating:

1. the dimensions and material used to make the banner

2. the content and graphics of the banner with attached photo

3. the sector of the stadium where it will be displayed

4. the competition(s) for which exposure is requested

The request must then be sent by e-mail to slo@cagliaricalcio.com or by fax to 070-6042085 no later than 5 working days before the match being requested.

The Company will examine the applications received in chronological order of submission and until the available spaces are exhausted.

The requests, duly filled in and accompanied by all the necessary documentation, will be submitted to the G.O.S. (Gruppo Operativo di Sicurezza) for approval at a specific meeting to be held at the Cagliari Police Headquarters within 4/5 days of the match being played.

It will be the Company itself that will communicate via e-mail or fax the authorisation received, and it should be noted that if no reply is received, the request is deemed to have been rejected.

Authorised applicants must present themselves on the day of the match, no later than 1 hour after the Stadium opens to the public, with the communication received from Cagliari Calcio. The authorised applicant, once the entry controls have been completed, will be accompanied for the display of the banner by the stewards at the point corresponding to the allocated space.

At the end of the competition the banner and/or choreography (if reusable) must be removed.

The same discipline will be applied to flags, except for those bearing only the corporate colours and those of the states represented on the pitch. Flags ("a banner of rectangular shape, attached by one of the shorter sides to a pole, the latter if permitted by the regulations in force") may enter as long as they are not large enough to obstruct the view of other spectators.
