Cagliari Calcio is pleased to announce the acquisition of the sporting rights of the player Ibrahim Sulemana from Hellas Verona, in a permanent transfer. The young midfielder has signed a contract until June 30, 2027, with the option for the Rossoblù Club to extend it for an additional season.
Born in 2003 and hailing from Ghana, Sulemana joined the Atalanta youth academy before moving to Hellas Verona. He showcased his talents in the 2021-22 Primavera 1 season, making 17 appearances with 1 goal and 3 assists. He made his Serie A debut on October 9th against Salernitana and concluded the past season with 17 appearances, playing a crucial role, including in the playoff victory against Spezia that ensured Verona’s stay in the top flight.
Physically strong, Sulemana combines pace with excellent interception skills, allowing him to often outshine his direct opponents, recover the ball, and quickly restart the action. Primarily used as a central midfielder, his dynamism also enables him to play as a box-to-box midfielder, exploiting spaces and serving as a valuable link between defense and attack.
A promising young talent with significant room for growth, both present and future belong to him.
Welcome to Sardinia, Ibrahim!
