Youth Sector - 4 June 2024

Great success for the Under 14 red-blue team, which won the 35th edition of the ‘Torneo Galeazzi’, an event named after Count Enrico Pietro Galeazzi that takes place in Rome at the ‘Pio XI’ Sports Centre grounds. Cagliari overcame Roma 2-0 in the final with goals from Schiffini and Fadda, after beating first Savio Calcio (a Capitoline amateur club) and then Spezia 3-2: Pani, Giandon and Soros were the scorers against the Lazio team, while against the Ligurians, Pintus scored a hat-trick.

After participation in international tournaments such as the ‘Manlio Selis’ in Gallura and the ‘Caroli Hotels’ in Gallipoli, a significant achievement from a technical and prestige point of view, in a tournament of reference for the category and for youth football in general, in which many leading professional and amateur football clubs take part.

The last weekend also saw the Under 16 win the ‘Medianet Trophy’ at the Unipol Domus (CLICK HERE), while the Under 17 is fresh from its success in Buddusò. A busy agenda also for the Under 13s, who after the victories in the ‘Saras Trophy’ and the positive experience at the national category finals (won by Inter), are preparing for their experience in Corsica at the sixth edition of the ‘Challenge Claude-Papi’ in Porto-Vecchio.
