Victory for Cagliari in the first edition of the Medianet Trophy, an event held today at the Unipol Domus and reserved for the Under 16 category: facing the best athletes from the island wearing the Cagliari, Alghero and Rappresentativa Sardegna shirts; two of the most flourishing nurseries in the Milanese hinterland (Club Milano and Mazzo di Rho) and one of the largest youth sectors on the Ile de France (Rueil Malmaison). Club Milano in second place, Alghero completed the podium ahead of Rueil Malmaison, then Rappresentativa Sardegna and Mazzo di Rho.
THE GROUP STAGE
In group A, it was Cagliari who took first place, qualifying for the final, ahead of Alghero and Mazzo di Rho. In group B, Club Milano edged out Rueil Malmaison and Rappresentativa Sardegna.
FINALS
Victory went to Cagliari in the final against Club Milano. On the lowest step of the podium was Alghero, who beat Rueil Malmaison 1-0 in the final with a goal by Andrea Sanna. Fifth place went to the Rappresentativa Sardegna, which beat Mazzo di Rho 4-0 with goals from Olaywola, Setti, Riu, Zucca.
INDIVIDUAL AWARDS
He is Antonio Magrini Club Milano’s best player in the tournament, Romain Perrinelle of Rueil Malmaison stood out between the posts. The top scorer of the Medianet Trophy is red-blue Luca Costa with three goals.
