CORU E FIDI | L’Home Kit 2024/25

The faith and heart of an island imprinted on the red and blue jersey thanks to ‘Coru e Fidi’, Cagliari’s 2024/25 Home Kit. The jersey that will accompany the team in most matches recalls the unconditional passion of its people through the Sardinian Faith, which has been handed down from generation to generation, and is surrounded by a variety of mysterious legends, representing one of Sardinia’s most famous and precious jewels.

The reference to the colour gold – also present in the Third and the Away Kit – can also be found in the Home Kit, characterised as usual by the red-blue quarter-length uniform. On the front is reproduced a pattern that refers to the Sardinian Campidanese Faith. The reference to the filigree also embellishes the right sleeve, with a silicon application.

The presentation of Cagliari’s 2024/25 kits follows a thread that embraces the culture and history of Sardinia, through encounters with some of the territory’s excellences and the first-person accounts of the protagonists. Discovering the raw materials, products, processes and crafts that make the island an international reference.

After ‘Mari e Perda’ for the Third Kit – with the link with byssus and obsidian recounted in Sant’Antioco and Pau – and ‘Soli e Trigu’ for the Away Kit explored in Sanluri and the Medio Campidano regarding wheat, for ‘Coru e Fidi’ we went to Villacidro to the goldsmith factory of Fernando Marrocu and sons. A reality that was born in Villacidro in 1967, daughter of a tradition that boasts masters and artists for six generations. In the workshop, exclusive works of unique refinement are created: intertwining threads and granules skilfully placed on thin sheets of gold that, with the precision of master goldsmiths and thanks to research and studies, take on ancient but always up-to-date shapes. A workmanship, that of the Sardinian filigree in gold and silver, very ancient and produced by means of two intertwined threads, to create wedding rings and other amulets.

In one of the videos produced for the story of the new Home Kit, owner Achille Marrocu tells us about it. He and his family have been running the business since the 1980s, having inherited a legacy of passion and knowledge from his father, as well as the opportunity to travel and delve into the secrets of filigree working.

THE MESH
It is made of Spandex Mesh fabric of recycled origin. The yarn undergoes a Wicking treatment to guarantee maximum comfort, breathability and resistance during sports performance. The golden detail dividing the red and blue frontal colours is made using the sublimated graphic of the Campidanese Sardinian Faith. In the triangular gusset of the collar and in the side panels, an original weave of the Sardinian tradition is taken up, a link between all the items of the personalised Cagliari Calcio 24-25 collection. The side panels are made of a special Round Mesh Polyester, also of recycled origin. The right sleeve is embellished with a silicone application reproducing the filigree of the Sardinian faith. On the front the Cagliari Calcio shield on the heart side and on the opposite side the EYE Sport logo. Both logos in latest-generation silicone with weight lightened by over 70%. On the front at the end of the shirt NFC tag. On the inside of the collar is the sweatband customised with the words Cagliari Calcio and EYE Sport. On the back of the collar the words ‘Coru e Fidi’ and on the end of the shirt ‘Casteddu. Coru e fidi’. Also on the inside is the new label certifying the user in the case of a jersey used by the players or by an individual fan.

TROUSERS
They are made of 100% Polyester Interlock fabric. The fabric is treated with Wicking technology to ensure breathability and speed drying. Sweat is immediately expelled, favouring evaporation, avoiding stagnation and guaranteeing rapid drying of the skin. The side panels in inverted red-blue colours are made of 100% recycled polyester round mesh and feature an original Sardinian traditional pattern. A motif found throughout the 2024/25 Cagliari Calcio Merchandising collection. The waistband is made of Elastic Jacquard with tone-on-tone Cagliari Calcio and EYE Sport lettering. Round laces to adjust the fit of the shorts. On the front are the Cagliari Calcio badge and on the opposite side EYE Sport.
