SOLI E TRIGU | The Cagliari Calcio Away Kit 24/25

The golden colour of wheat and the shining light of the Sardinian sun will cross the sea thanks to ‘Soli e Trigu’, Cagliari’s Away Kit 2024/2025. The traditional white away shirt thus pays homage to the culture of wheat, the strongest and most deeply rooted tradition of a territory – that of Medio Campidano – historically and profoundly linked to the red and blue club.

THE SHIRT
White blends with the colour gold to give the team’s away kit a taste of simplicity and elegance, with the usual reference to the island’s unique excellence. Thus the weave of the sublimation jersey presents the stylisation of ears of wheat, a cereal symbol of prosperity cultivated since the Nuragic age in the heart of Marmilla, which completes its growth thanks to the sun’s rays. The stylisation of the sun, made of silicone, is in fact present on both sleeves. To provide chromatic continuity the Cagliari Calcio shield on the heart side and the EYE Sport logo, both in gold.

Inside the collar is the personalized sweatband with the writings Cagliari Calcio and EYE Sport. On the back of the collar is the writing “Soli e Trigu” and at the end of the shirt “Casteddu. Soli e Trigu”. Also inside is the new label that certifies the user in the case of a shirt used by footballers or by a single fan. On the front at the end of the shirt is an NFC tag.

THE CULTURE OF WHEAT
If for the Third Kit we had discovered the typical features of obsidian and byssus, to learn about our Away Kit 2024/2025 we stopped at the Bread Museum in Sanluri, a city that expresses the millenary tradition of a community dedicated to the cultivation of fields and the processing of its fruits, first of all wheat. It is no coincidence that the ancient toponym Sellori (Seddori in Sardinian) perhaps derives from the contraction of the phrase “su logu e su lori” (the territory of wheat).

Nicoletta Ruggiero, a tour guide at the museum, welcomed us and revealed the secrets of the noble “white art” of bread making, from which one of the symbols of Sanluri is born: civraxu bread. Listening to her passionate story, we were able to experience first-hand what is still a fundamental activity for the town, which through the Museum wants to pass the baton also and above all to the youngest visitors.

RESISTANCE AND BREATHABILITY
The Away match jersey is made of 100% recycled and Repreve certified Polyester fabric. The yarn is subjected to Wiking treatment to guarantee maximum comfort, breathability and resistance during sports performances. The jersey is designed with a crew neck and Raglan sleeves. The side panel, under the armpit, in Light Spandex Mesh, is made in a single piece and without seams to maximize comfort and allow immediate breathability.

The Cagliari Calcio and EYE Sport logos are both made of latest-generation silicone with a weight reduced by over 70%.

The Away match shorts are made of 100% Polyester Interlock fabric. The fabric is treated with Wicking technology to ensure breathability and speed up drying. Sweat is immediately expelled, promoting evaporation, avoiding stagnation and ensuring rapid drying of the skin. The waistband is made of Elastic Jacquard with the tone-on-tone writing Cagliari Calcio and EYE Sport. The laces are round to adjust the fit of the shorts. The Cagliari Calcio shield is on the front and EYE Sport on the opposite side. Both logos are made of latest-generation gold silicone with a weight reduced by over 70%. The leg opening is gold with red and blue accents in the slits.

The socks are made of polyamide and elastane fabric, cotton foot, ribbed compression area at the height of the Achilles tendon that guarantees greater support and to improve comfort. On the shin is the writing Cagliari Calcio with EYE Sport logo on the upper part.
