Cagliari Calcio Women to compete in the 2026/27 Eccellenza Championship

Cagliari Calcio announces that the Women’s first team will compete in the 2026/27 Eccellenza Championship. This represents a new step in the path undertaken by the Club, continuing the work carried out over the years at youth level. The return of the first team therefore represents another piece of a project, the Cagliari Calcio Women, aimed at further consolidating and structuring the Club’s activities, with the objective of progressively developing young female players and the various squads, while strengthening the link with the youth academy.

“The growth of Cagliari Calcio Women is certainly one of the Club’s objectives. The Youth Sector is coming off seasons of excellent results, both in terms of quality and numbers, which is why we want to continue working to further develop and improve. This is why having the first team back is part of the Club’s vision,” said Max Canzi, Head of the Youth Sector, whose work also focuses on the women’s game. The project also looks to the local area and the broader development of the sport: “Sardinia has a strong tradition in women’s football and Cagliari Calcio certainly intends to play its part, becoming part of a wider Italian football landscape in which the women’s game is experiencing concrete and increasingly solid growth from every point of view.”

Il progetto rossoblù fonda le sue basi anche sul fondamentale sostegno dei partner che hanno scelto di sostenere il Cagliari Calcio Women. Reach Aut, attraverso RA Consulting, già partner strategico del Club nell’ultimo anno a sostegno dell’attività del settore giovanile femminile, affiancherà le atlete e lo staff per tutta la stagione con un supporto sistemico all’attività quotidiana del gruppo prima squadra dentro e fuori dal campo. Hanno confermato il proprio sostegno all’attività giovanile per il terzo anno consecutivo anche i partner Onali Immobiliare e Casa Ortofrutta.
