FIGC PRESIDENCY: JOINT STATEMENT BY CAGLIARI, SASSUOLO AND VENEZIA

Cagliari Calcio, U.S. Sassuolo Calcio and Venezia FC share the view that a discussion on the plans and prospects for Italian football is important ahead of the upcoming election of the FIGC President.

The three Clubs have not, at this stage, expressed their support for any candidate and intend to examine the proposals for the future of the Federation in greater depth before defining their position.

While reaffirming their esteem for Adriano Galliani and Giovanni Malagò, both widely respected figures with recognised experience and authority, the Clubs consider it essential to understand the key priorities of their respective programmes, the proposed reforms and how they intend to implement them.

With this in mind, they express their willingness to engage in open and constructive dialogue with both candidates, in the interests of the entire Italian football community.
