Cagliari Calcio announces the permanent acquisition of the registration rights of Francesco Beidi Gallea from Lumezzane. The player has signed a contract with the Rossoblu until June 30, 2029, with an option to extend the contract for a further two seasons. He will remain on loan at Lumezzane until June 30, 2026.
A modern defender with a strong physical build, attention to marking, and a good ability to build play from the back, Gallea represents a promising player with whom we can work with for the future as we continue our development.
Born in Bamako, Mali, in 2005, he grew up in Turin, where he began his career as a youth player, joining the Granata youth academy. He completed his entire football career there, up to the Under-18 level, honing his technical and tactical skills over time. In the 2023/2024 season, he joined Palermo’s youth team, making his debut in the Primavera 2 team and scoring two goals in 30 appearances (one in the Coppa Italia). The following season (2024/2025) saw him at Cesena in the Primavera 1 team (27 appearances and one goal). In the summer of 2025, he began his adventure at Lumezzane, where he made his professional debut on October 13th in a match away to Dolomiti Bellunese and quickly became a key element of the defence. He has made 12 appearances in Serie C so far.
The loan to the Lombardy club will allow the young defender to continue his development, gaining further experience and consistency in professional football.
Congratulations and good luck, Francesco.
