“In Sardegna tutto l’anno” (In Sardinia All Year Round): On the occasion of Juventus-Cagliari, the Air Palace Hotel in Leinì (Turin), the venue for Cagliari’s retreat, hosted an exhibition to promote active tourism in the island: not only the sea but also naturalistic routes, experiences in biking, canoeing, kayaking, and trekking.
It was a sports-flavored eve of the match, of course, but not only that. As part of the partnership between Cagliari Calcio and the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, a few hours before the clash between Cagliari and Juventus, Stefano Melis, Director of Business and Media, Coach Claudio Ranieri, and players Marco Mancosu, Gianluca Lapadula, and Edoardo Goldaniga participated in the exhibition. They were joined by representatives of regional Sardinian associations promoting sports activities that, in contact with nature, can be carried out throughout the year on the island: from cycling tourism to water activities and trekking itineraries. The goal is to de-seasonalize tourist flows by making the beauties and peculiarities of the territory known, even outside the bathing season.
As in previous occasions involving projects promoting the island alongside the Region of Sardinia, Sardinian circles were also protagonists of the evening, carrying the identity beyond the sea, with the Rossoblù passion serving as a bridge.
“A pleasant opportunity to meet with many of our fans in northern Italy,” explained Stefano Melis and Claudio Ranieri in unison before immersing themselves in post-event activities, including selfies, autographs, and significant discussions about the daily lives of those who have been living away from the island for a long time and eagerly follow Cagliari. Stefano Melis further commented, “Today it was important to focus on active tourism and the many experiences that can be enjoyed in Sardinia in contact with nature in all months of the year, not just in summer. Our wonderful land, thanks to the partnership with the Region of Sardinia, we can spread and convey on every occasion, especially when the championship brings us to the homes of our people, like here in Turin and as in the past in other cities. This will happen again in the future for other matches in particularly strategic locations.”
