Marko Rog leaves Cagliari

Cagliari Calcio announces that it has reached an agreement with footballer Marko Rog for the mutual termination of his contract.

Having arrived in Sardinia in the summer of 2019, Marko immediately made a name for himself thanks to his technical and human qualities, making an indelible impression on the fans. Running, dueling, versatility, talent: those bursts of energy—his trademark—capable of leaving his direct opponent on the spot and igniting the crowd. His debut goal in the Coppa Italia against Chievo Verona, followed by his league goal in the 5-2 win over Fiorentina; the winner against Modena in the 2022/23 season, which ended with a celebration of the playoff victory and a prompt return to the top flight: these are among his most beautiful images in the Rossoblu, a journey during which the Croatian midfielder unfortunately also had to contend with bad luck and injuries. A locker room man, always available to his staff and teammates, he leaves Cagliari after 80 games in this jersey.
