“I am a person who loves to improve, who wants to grow through improvement. In life, in general, not just in sport. It is a prerogative to grow and improve. When you grow on an individual level, then you make a better contribution to the group’: Nicolas Viola gave an interview to L’Unione Sarda, on newsstands today. Below is an extract of his words:
LEADERSHIP
“I never set out with the idea of becoming a leader, a person should be evaluated by what he says, but above all by how he behaves. With words and above all deeds, it’s good to be an example. I am proud of that, if that means being a leader’.
A SPECIAL LOVE
‘If one gives oneself unreservedly, there comes love and support from the people. The fans are wonderful, I dwell on the evening at Monza, there were so many Sardinians at the stadium, a whole red-blue curve. It was emotional. Here, one word to define our fans: exciting’.
THE COACH AS ADDED VALUE
“I have a good relationship with coach Ranieri. Often there is no need to talk, with him a glance is enough, he understands everything immediately, he knows where we are heading. He is the added value of Cagliari. I’m lucky to have met someone who is giving me so much right now. I’m proud of his path and the path we are on together’.
THE FINAL GOAL
‘Cagliari is giving me unforgettable experiences and emotions, satisfaction. It is a path of growth. For two seasons now we have been living a long wonderful moment, it means we have been good. Is Cagliari in the classification position it deserves? I think so, today we are safe, we deserve it to end like this’.
