As part of the Media Day with Serie A, rossoblù forward Roberto Piccoli gave an interview that was recorded by the foreign TV channel TLN These are his words:
THE GROWTH
“Coach Nicola is helping me grow in many ways: from the ability to lead the attack on my own to playing well with the team. I am improving in terms of scoring, working every day, game after game, to get better. The most important thing for me is to help the team earn points. Among my most beautiful and important goals, I would place the one scored this year against Monza.”
THE PUSH FROM THE FANS
“Our fans are very important to us, they give us an extra boost. There have been games where we managed to turn the result around thanks to them: when our crowd gets behind us, we’re able to perform at double the pace. Their support is crucial, and it will be until the end of the season.”
OVERCOMING DIFFICULTIES
“I started playing in Serie A at a very young age, and I had to learn how to face the many inevitable challenges. Some injuries have slowed down my career. But it’s all part of a growth journey, even on a mental level. I feel like I’m on the right path: I’m working well, I’m in good physical condition, and I feel great with my teammates and the whole Club. I want to give my best for the end of the season.”
YOUNG TALENTS
“We have many young talents in the team, we are a great group, all good guys who are eager to work and improve. The National Team? I’m focused on doing well at Cagliari, that’s the most important thing. Only through the Club, in fact, can one aspire to the Azzurri shirt.”
