After the 3-2 victory over Torino, Fabio Pisacane spoke to the media present at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini. A success that weighs for the standings but not only, within a path of constant growth of the red-blue group.
GREAT ATTITUDE
“I am happy for the boys, they deserve this satisfaction today and we all deserve it together, because it is the result of daily work and the ability to react to moments of difficulty. Cagliari did very little wrong today and have done very little wrong this season, because it is fine for us to suffer some setbacks against great teams like AC Milan and Roma in the last two weeks, but we must remember how well we did in other circumstances, both in the first half and in the second half. The asymmetrical calendar has certainly not been a friend to us, taking us in a short period of time to meet in series the strongest teams in the tournament, but we have to look at ourselves and work in detail, only in this way can victories like today’s come and we can follow up on a work and philosophy that I and the staff have tried to give from day one in the final part of last season in this current one”.
THE MATCH
“We never disbanded, it wasn’t easy in front of a Torino that needs no introduction: we took the match, unlocking it and going ahead after the equaliser on the first and only shot on goal. In the second half we were there to suffer and fight back, creating many chances to score, and then immediately the 2-2 on a free kick we had the strength to win it and legitimise the three points. We have to continue like this, aware of our project that sees many under-age boys on the pitch and a series of goals that go beyond the match itself”.
INDIVIDUALS
“Achour and Kingstone? I do not like talking about individuals and it would not be right, because here there is a group that always responds, regardless of who is on the field and absences. Sofiane is maturing, already last year he was important in the final rush for salvation, coming from the Under 18, this year he is climbing the hierarchy with facts and must continue like this, with personality, hunger and intelligence, understanding the moments and the choices of the technical staff. Kingstone played a great match today, but he has always done very well, it is normal that he has to grow up learning a whole new world in which he arrived at the age of twenty, having to make up now for some things that he did not see in the previous phases of his football growth: he is a boy who deserves a lot and he is getting it by working every day on and off the field, even at an individual level”.
