Prelec to Oxford United

Cagliari Calcio announces the permanent transfer of Nik Prelec to Oxford United, who have exercised their option to purchase the player’s performance rights.

The Slovenian striker, who arrived at the Rossoblù in the 2023 winter transfer window, made 16 appearances for Cagliari, contributing to the team’s promotion to Serie A.

Prelec then played for WSG Tirol and Austria Vienna, before moving last summer – again on loan – to Oxford United, a club in the English Championship, where he has so far made 19 appearances and scored 1 goal.
