PRESS ROOM | Kofler speaks to the media
A debut in the Rossoblù shirt with a win and progression to the next round of the Coppa Italia for new signing Raphael Kofler. At the end of the match against Arezzo, the young defender, born in 2005, spoke to the media. Here are his words:
ABOUT THE MATCH
“It was a tough game, we knew it would be like that: it was our first competitive match. The heat on the pitch was noticeable and fatigue set in. But that’s understandable at this stage of the season. We made a good start to the match, we put in a solid performance and we’ll improve. Making my debut in this shirt in front of our fans was a special emotion: we got the win, so it was a perfect evening.”
A FANTASTIC GROUP
“I felt very comfortable playing alongside Juan in defence, as I have with all my teammates. From the very beginning, they made me feel part of this fantastic group, and I’m very happy about that too. I’m excited for this season; there’s a lot of enthusiasm within the team, starting with me, as this will be my first year in Serie A. There’s a great desire to do well. The Mister instils that in us, and we follow him.”
THE DESIRE TO IMPROVE
“My objectives for this season? I’ve made the step up from Serie B to Serie A, so the goal will be to work hard and improve every day. I have teammates around me with a lot of experience and many Serie A games under their belts. I’ll have to learn from everyone and make sure I’m ready whenever the Mister calls on me. I want and need to improve in every aspect: that’s also why I chose to come here. It’s the perfect environment for young players to develop in the best possible way.”
THE RIGHT SPIRIT
“I’ve gone from the mountains to the sea, and I’m really enjoying it here. I used to come to Sardinia on holiday; now I’ll be working here, and it’s a beautiful place. Overall, I can say that everything is in place here to have a great season. The feelings are very positive, and we’ve made a good start. Now we’ll take a little break, then we’ll start preparing properly for our first league game. We’re motivated and positive.”
WHY CAGLIARI
“Mister Bisoli gave me my Serie B debut three and a half years ago. He gave me the opportunity to play and develop, so if I’m here today, it’s also thanks to him. I’m grateful to have this opportunity. I’m very proud to have become a Cagliari player. When I found out there was a possibility of coming here, I didn’t think twice. I also spoke to some former teammates, such as Luca Ceppitelli, and he spoke very highly of everything here. My goal was to come here, and I can’t wait for the league season to start.”
