Adam Obert’s words were among the key players in the victory against Roma at Unipol and today, his 100th appearance for Cagliari.
A GREAT PERFORMANCE
“It was a great performance from the whole team. I’m also happy with my own performance, happy to be able to lend a hand to my teammates. These are three crucial points. We’re very happy; we’ve been missing a win for a long time. The performances were always there, but we were missing that certain something to bring home the three points. Today we knew that each of us would have to give even more to win, and that’s what happened. We were perfect, all of us.”
A SPECIAL DEDICATION
“It’s a wonderful day for me. I can celebrate the victory and my hundredth appearance for Cagliari. I think back to my first day here; these four years have flown by. My first goal was to make my debut in this beautiful jersey, then the bar has gradually been raised. Let’s keep moving forward, maybe to 200 games. Today, my dedication goes to my family, my girlfriend, my agent, my friends, and Mattia Felici. He’s going through a difficult time due to his injury. We’re all with him, and I send him a big hug.”
SELF-ESTEEM AND AWARENESS
“The consistency the Coach is giving me is helping to build my self-esteem and my awareness of my abilities. I try to grow game after game, analyzing everything, my mistakes and what I do well. My affinity with Juan Rodriguez? We hit it off straight away, starting with the game against Napoli. He’s a great guy, we help each other, and I’m also happy with his performance.”
THE UNIPOL DOMUS CHARGE
“The crowd? As always, they pumped us up, from the warm-up to the final second of the game. The fans were fantastic; they gave us a huge hand. Today, we gave little to a great team like Roma. We were perfect in defense, and in the end, we managed to capitalize on the work we’d done up front. Throughout the match, there was no shortage of desire to win, and competitive determination. We were always on point: it should always be that way.”
UP TO THE NEXT STEP
“My role? I can play in a three-man or four-man defense, or as a winger, like today. I always try to give my all, no matter what. Today, as a winger, I knew we’d have to push hard, so I gave it my all. I even came close to scoring: I did everything right, even if I wasn’t very clear-headed in front of goal. These are aspects I need to work on. Now let’s focus on Saturday.”
