Rossoblù defender Zé Pedro, the star of the match at the “Tardini”, answered journalists’ questions after the match.
A PRECIOUS POINT
“We knew it would be a tough match. Parma are in excellent form, coming off three consecutive wins. We came here looking for the three points, and we came close, but unfortunately Parma managed to equalize. We still earned an important point against a direct rival: it was crucial not to lose today. Serie A is very difficult: we must continue to accumulate points to reach our ultimate goal of staying up as quickly as possible.”
TOWARDS THE GOAL
“I’m growing day by day. I’m adapting more and more: I understand the coach’s tactical instructions better, and my connection with my teammates is growing. I’m very satisfied with my season and the path I’m taking. I like the Italian league; it brings out my best qualities. I believe that having an increasingly stronger identity and an ever-improving understanding between us teammates will be important between now and the end of the season. We’re confident we can avoid relegation: we must continue to work and give our all, as we have done so far.”
THE FRUITS OF WORK
I came from a team that played differently, and it obviously took time to adapt, especially in terms of the league. My understanding with my teammates is also improving; they’ve helped me along the way. I hope to have consistency. In football, no one gives you anything; we have to work hard and follow our own path. When I got injured, I worked hard to get back quickly and at my best, so I could help the team. I made sacrifices, and now I’m reaping some of the rewards of that work. But I didn’t do anything alone: I have to thank the coach, the technical and medical staff, and my teammates who have always been by my side.
