Primavera, Cagliari-Monza 3-2

Youth Sector - 23 August 2024

Victory for the Primavera rossoblù in their first home match against Monza, and immediate redemption after the unfortunate debut in Rome. Brianzoli defeated 3-2 at the CRAI Sport Center.

DECISIONS
Inside the new addition Langella (the other, Nunn, starts from the bench) with Auseklis in goal; defense with Pintus, Cogoni and Marini. In the middle Arba with Balde, Marcolini and Langella, while Vinciguerra accompanies Bolzan and Simonetta up front.

FIRST HALF
Ready, steady, go and after 3′ Vinciguerra breaks the deadlock: Auseklis relaunches, the Neapolitan who grew up in the rossoblù youth system punishes Monza’s incorrect defensive reading. At 7′ it’s 2-0, with Simonetta who heads Arba’s cross into the corner, the culmination of an excellent insertion. Cagliari dominates thanks to intensity and speed of execution, often creating the conditions for the goal. And at 34′ comes the third: action on the Vinciguerra-Langella axis on the left, ball in the net for the debut goal of the Neapolitan born in 2005 former Virtus Entella. At the end of the first half, Monza jolts and the penalty is awarded for dubious contact between Auseklis and Longhi, with the goalkeeper who seems to touch the ball. Zanaboni scores from the spot for the 1-3 that gives Monza new breath.

SECOND HALF
And at the start of the second half, Monza pushes and finds the 2-3, with Zanaboni who in a personal action crowns everything by beating Auseklis. Much less happens in the second half in terms of emotions and scoring opportunities, with Monza trying and Cagliari controlling quite well albeit with a pinch of apprehension due to the result in the balance. Tempers heat up, cards rain down, but the rossoblù with greater quality and experience deservedly win based on what was seen throughout the entire match.
