Primavera, draw in Sassuolo

The Primavera 1 match between Sassuolo and Cagliari ended 2-2: the red-blues came back from the dead in the second half, the neroverdi did well to recover.

Pisacane opts for Achour up front with Bolzan, Simonetta in support. In defence Arba and Idrissi on the outside, Catena and Cogoni in the middle, in front of Iliev. In the midfield are Sulev, Carboni and Marcolini.

In the first phase of study, on 13 minutes Sassuolo were forced to replace Leone (injured) with Caragea. The first red-blue sortie in the 17th minute, but in the area Sulev was anticipated by a whisker. Cagliari played well, kept the balL but did not break through, always lacking the last gasp to give concreteness to their superiority. In the 32nd minute Sassuolo were insidious on a free-kick, with Loeffen striking a header and sending it just over the crossbar. In the 35′ Marcolini tried on Simonetta’s assist: Theiner parried. Shortly afterwards Bolzan kicked with his right, the ball just wide. Cagliari again in the 39th minute but Achour’s shot from the edge of the box was off by a whisker. It was a complicated end to the first half for the Rossoblù: in the 42nd minute Arba saved on the line on Caragea’s spot-kick, then Knezovic’s free-kick from 30 metres out surprised Iliev.

The restart was led by Cagliari: in the 51st minute Bolzan was anticipated at the best possible moment, Sassuolo stung with some confused situations with loose balls, and on the hour mark Conti and Vinciguerra came in for Sulev and Bolzan. And in the 65th minute Idrissi equalised: control and left-footed shot by the captain from a corner, 1-1 deserved. The match remained intense, substitutions and penalty cards broke it up a little, but in the final minutes there were still fires: in the 75th minute Russo’s header hit the crossbar, in the 76th minute Vinciguerra scored a goal by sprinting and scoring with precision, but in the 81st minute another dirty goal by Knezovic decreed the final 2-2.
