These are the words of Fabio Pisacane on the eve of Napoli-Cagliari, a one-off match valid for the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa, on Wednesday 3 December at 6 pm at the “Diego Armando Maradona”.

AFTER-JUVENTUS
“A team like ours that hasn’t won in two months has to do something more. In Turin, there were moments when we defended well as a team, at others less so, and against big teams you can’t make any mistakes. In these two post-Juventus training sessions, we’ve worked on the things that didn’t work. When you haven’t won for a long time, it means you’re lacking the right energy. Whether or not we turn the current situation around depends on us. We need to do more because this isn’t enough, and it definitely hasn’t been enough so far.”

THE MATCH AGAINST NAPOLI
“It will take a high-level performance from everyone, for more than 90 minutes, with the unity that was lacking at times in Turin. Every match is important to get closer to improvement, to seek the victory that has been missing for too long. It’s disappointing because the boys are working well, and there’s nothing to criticize about their attitude and dedication, but we need to show something more.”

THE CHOICES FOR THE FORMATION
“Folorunsho and Palestra won’t be leaving for Naples; they have some aches and pains, and we don’t want to risk them. Mina, Mazzitelli, and Zé Pedro are also out, while Rog returns to the squad after a period of individual training. It will be an opportunity to give playing time to some players who haven’t played much so far, so we can see them in action and better understand what they can bring to the table from here on out.
