Spring, Pisacane presents Cagliari-Milan

Youth Sector - 18 February 2025

This is what the coach of the rossoblù Primavera, Fabio Pisacane, said to the official Club channels on the eve of a match against a prestigious opponent like Milan:

“We face Milan, the fifth-best team in the league, an organized team with quality, led by a coach who knows this category very well. For us, this is a great opportunity. We come from a bitter defeat, where we played well for an hour, but in football, one hour is not enough; the entire match matters, as well as the ability to stay in the game until the end and to be decisive in key moments. We need to show we’ve understood that.
The schedule immediately gives us the chance to redeem ourselves: just a few days later, we are back on the field, and this is where a team’s mentality is shown. This is not just any game; it’s a prestigious match against a strong opponent, and in challenges like this, it’s not just about tactics or technique: it’s about the desire to win, it’s about character.
I want a team that is not satisfied, that doesn’t wait, that takes control of the game and pushes beyond fatigue, mistakes, and obstacles. I want to see players who throw their heart beyond every limit, who play with clarity, but also with anger: that they have fire inside.
Milan is a well-prepared team, but we are ready. We must be compact, smart, ruthless when necessary, and clear-headed in key moments. This is a match that can say a lot about us, and it’s up to us to decide what story we want to tell.”
