The story of the wonders of the Sinis Natural Archaeological Park continues in Turin. The event, organized in collaboration with Cagliari Calcio and F.A.S.I., featured two conferences dedicated to the archaeological treasures of the Sinis, hosted at Palazzo Madama, just hours before the Rossoblù’s home match against Juventus.

A new chapter—titled “A Journey into the World of Sardinian Archaeology”—for the Mont’e Prama Foundation as part of its joint communications campaign with Cagliari Calcio, in collaboration with F.A.S.I. On the morning of Saturday, November 29, the Sala delle Feste hosted the Foundation’s lectures, which were received with great interest by the public. The aim was to convey the story of the thousand-year history of Cabras and the Giants of Mont’e Prama.

The meeting opened with greetings from: Gregorio Thaon Di Revel Mazzonis, Head of the Exhibitions Office at the Torino Musei Foundation; Anthony Muroni, President of the Mont’e Prama Foundation; Stefano Melis, General Manager of Cagliari Calcio; and Francesco Pongiluppi, Vice President of FASI.

The two conferences explored the transition from stone to the cult of water and why the Giants deserve to be recognized and protected today: “From Stone to Water,” by archaeologist Giorgio Murru with images by Nicola Castangia, and “The Discovery of the Giants and Their Valorization,” by archaeologist Ilaria Orri.

Stefano Melis, General Manager of Cagliari Calcio: “We’ve reached the halfway point of the season with our travels with the Giants and the Mont’e Prama Foundation, following the stops in Udine and Verona and ahead of the others that will take us to Genoa, Pisa, and Milan in 2026. The final date of 2025 in Stupinigi is truly wonderful, as have the previous ones and, in general, the journey we’ve been making since 2022 with consistency, enthusiasm, and quality in every respect. The partnership with the Mont’e Prama Foundation is broad, as our latest mission to China demonstrates, and it’s just one piece of a project that combines sport, culture, social issues, and economic development in the fullest sense of the word. Our thanks go to the Foundation, to President Muroni, and to all the stakeholders involved, both private and institutional, and we renew our commitment to continue working together, growing hand in hand.”
