Another year, as always intense for all of us, is coming to an end. A 2024 in which, from a sporting point of view, we joyfully and emotionally closed a historic chapter that began a year and a half ago, immediately opening a completely new one.
Every day we live and work with the awareness of belonging to one big family, like the red and blue one. A group that draws strength from the history of this shirt and this land, but most of all from your boundless love and unconditional passion for these colors.
You, the beating heart of Cagliari more than anything else, the reason why we fight with pride and determination at every moment of our journey.
2024 has been a year of contrasting emotions. We said goodbye to Gigi, our eternal hero, a moral guide who taught us through his example what it means to be Sardinian and red and blue. His light continues to shine upon us, reminding us that values such as integrity, sacrifice, and passion must be the foundation of every choice we make and every step we take.
We celebrated key successes, such as the survival in Reggio Emilia, the result of collective effort, resilience, and unity. A milestone that allowed us to start again with renewed ambition, looking forward with hope and a desire to grow. We are continuing to work with pragmatism and seriousness on the new stadium project, a challenging path but one that, by the end of the year, has seen an important new step that confirms the commitment of all parties involved.
Today, with a new technical leadership, we are building something important, thinking long-term and consolidating our identity, confident that together we can continue our path of growth, aiming for new goals, for your satisfaction, and to make you proud of the flag you proudly wave.
The red and blue people, at home and away, on the Island and in every part of the world where we receive enormous love and support, are the proverbial twelfth man by our side, and that’s how it must continue to be. Every chant, applause, and smile in the stands and on the streets represents a fundamental ingredient in driving us to overcome the obstacles and challenges that lie ahead.
Those who love Cagliari are the lifeblood for all of us, making it not just a football team but a unique reality, in perfect symbiosis with its people.
