A home draw for the Rossoblù Primavera against Milan. The 1-1 scoreline was established in the first half with goals from Kingstone and Turco. Milan played with ten men for the last thirty minutes, but Cagliari was unable to capitalize on the chances they created.
INITIAL SKIRMISHES
The first noteworthy shot comes after fourteen minutes, taken by Sulev, who capitalizes on a slip by Perin. Colzani is quick to dive and send the ball out for a corner. Milan responds with a backheel from Turco in the box, Arba deflects it, and Iliev blocks it on the line. The tempo is pleasant, despite several mistakes from both sides.
KINSGSTONE, A HAWK
At the 26th minute, Cagliari takes the lead: Kingstone races toward a deep ball, with goalkeeper Colzani seeming to have the advantage, but the Rossoblù forward wins the challenge and races toward the open goal, then slots the ball in before Nissen’s desperate sliding tackle.
At the 32nd minute, a goal by Hodzic is disallowed for offside. Cagliari appears to be in control, but at the 41st minute, unexpectedly, Milan equalizes: a long pass from Eletu, controlled brilliantly by Turco, who then cuts Iliev out of the play, shooting and scoring into the empty net.
Immediately after, Cagliari threatens again with a run from Bolzan, but Milan’s defense halts him. The teams go into halftime with the score tied.
MILAN DOWN TO TEN
After the break, Bolzan has a good opportunity, served by Kingstone with a deep pass. He doesn’t trust his left foot, cuts back to his right, and curls a shot high.
Pisacane makes a double substitution at the 58th minute: Marcolini and Vinciguerra replace Balde and Bolzan.
A minute later, Milan is reduced to ten men with a direct red card for Nissen, who fouled Vinciguerra as he was charging toward the goal.
Cagliari looks to capitalize: Sulev takes a free kick from thirty meters, but Colzani sends it out for a corner, unsure about catching it. Malfitano comes on for Cogoni.
A chance for the Rossoblù at the 66th minute, as Vinciguerra mishandles a long pass from Franke.
At the 71st minute, Liteta takes a low shot just wide. Pisacane makes his final substitutions: Marini and Ardau come on for Arba and Sulev.
KINGSTONE DANGEROUS
In the 85th minute, from a corner kick, a great cross from Marcolini finds Kingstone unmarked in the box, but his header goes high. A similar play happens in the 88th minute, this time with a driven cross from Marini, and Mutandwa, in a great position, sends it over the crossbar.
The last chance comes in the 3rd minute of the 4 minutes of added time: Malfitano delivers the corner, and Kingstone rises to meet it, but his header goes high.
The next match is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, away against Empoli.
